DEFCON 32 Car Hacking Village Review
I attended the 32nd DEFCON in Las Vegas for the Car Hacking Village.
Hello! In this post, I would like to share my experience attending the 32nd DEFCON this year. For the past three years, I have attended DEFCON annually, with my main focus being the Car Hacking Village.
Car Hacking Village is one of the many villages within DEFCON, dedicated to automotive hacking and security. This year marks its 10th anniversary.
Each year, it hosts presentations and CTF sessions centered around car hacking, which are incredibly useful for keeping up with industry trends.

This year, the event was held at a new location in Las Vegas, the "Las Vegas Convention Center." (It felt like the space was a bit larger.)

Once again, I participated in the Car Hacking Village's Capture the Flag (CTF) competition. I always find the ever-changing challenges fascinating.
However, unlike previous years, this year featured many challenges inspired by real car environments, including infiltrating an actual vehicle’s IVI OS. I think these kinds of challenges are really great! :)

Finally, our team, named AUTOCRYPT, finished in 4th place. During the two-day CTF competition, we spent a lot of time brainstorming and pulling all-nighters to solve the challenges. These experiences were definitely valuable.
